I can proudly state that I began reading the Harry Potter series, by J. K. Rowling, before it became so absurdly famous.
Actually, looking back on it, it was really my brother who read the first book to me. Strange memories...
Anyway, by the time the series had truly become famous, I'd already read the first three books and was eagerly awaiting the fourth. I'm not sure why. Looking back on the series now, there was nothing all that special about it. It was childish and stupid. Especially the fifth book.
I HATED THE FIFTH BOOK!
I had one really good friend who wanted to go to the midnight party at Barnes and Noble to wait in a ridiculously long line to by the seventh book. I almost had fun, but it wasn't worth it.
The seventh book was surprisingly much better than any of the others, though, I'll admit. I was quite impressed at how diligently Rowling wrapped up all of her loose ends.
I realize that I haven't really made much sense, nor have I said anything of value. That's what comes from me being tired and... well... me.
Whatever. Good night, the no one who is actually reading this.

I am not a no one. I am a someone. And so are you. And maybe Harry Potter too!
ReplyDeleteI actually really enjoyed the 7th Harry Potter as well. I thought it was an inricate plot line that tied up loose ends that were brought in in the 2nd or 3rd books. If you love fantasy books so much, why do you hate Harry Potter so much? It was definitely the first fantasy book that I really loved.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THE 5TH BOOK. Take it back! So many uncovered mysteries.
